Let us introduce to you the team at Casino Travel Shoppe

The business is owned by John & Jan Dougall who are active members of the team. John is a very experienced business manager who previously worked for State Rail Countrylink as a Travel Centre Manager and Regional Manager and Special Projects Manager.The business operates not only as a retail travel agency we also have within the premises a St George Bank Agency. Jan manages the banking business.

The day to day financial manager of the travel shoppe is Beth Wallach who has been with the business since 1999. Beth not only manages the travel business finances, she also assists with travel consulting and is a qualified bank officer as well.

Other members of the team include Janelle Beucker Claire Grantham-Smith Sarah McLennan and our newest employee Sarah Flatley

Expansion of the staff has come about due to the success of our Fully Escorted Group Travel products and the support of the local community. We will be continuing with our Group Departure Programme and this will expand into departures of groups which are not necessarily escorted by members of the Travel Shoppe Team into the future thereby providing a greater opportunity to visit new destinations in the security of a group environment.

Profiles

Sarah McLennan Joined the team in May 2006 as a trainee and has excelled in her studies for her Diploma in Travel & Tourism Certificate III. Sarah had been a work experience student with us when she was in year 10 at High School and had showed potential for this very demanding industry. In 2006 when the companyt was expanding into the Group Travel Market there was a need to find additional staff and it was decided that a local trainee would be a possible solution. Jan and I are very pleased to have made the decision to employ Sarah as it has proved to have been an excellent decision. I am sure that those who have had the pleasure of having Sarah look after their travel needs have found her to be a very capable and pleasant young lady.

Claire Grantham-Smith Claire has become an integral part of the Casino Travel Shoppe team with her professional knowledge and expertise. With a large following of clients and ability to work miracles she has become invaluable. Claire has also proven a great asset in helping the newer members of the staff in increasing their knowledge on the finer points of travel to meet the ever changing demands of this now highly technical industry. Her ability to meet customer requirements for difficult locations at an instant has been her greatest asset. Claire has an excellent following which continues to grow and add to the growth of the Casino Travel Shoppe as a supplier of quality travel products to the community.

Janelle Beucker: Janelle has been one of the best investments we have made in regards employment of Travel Consultants. Having struggled to find a place in the industry which she truely loves she became a member of the Casino Travel Shoppe Team. Her depth of knowledge and expertise has grown from strength to strength. For Janelle nothing is an issue and her professional and friendly attitude and dedication to her clients has shown us that she is an imprtant and integral part of the team. Janelle has added to her professional expertise by becoming one of the best Cruise Specialists in New South Wales. Sarah Flatley The new kid on the block - Two Sarahs has been a bit of a challenge for both staff and clients however we seem to be getting around the problem. Sarah joined the team as a trainee in January 2008 having also been a work experience student. Sarah has practically completed her Travel & Tourism Certificate 3 Course at Wollongbar TAFE and has prooven to be a wonderful addition to the team. Her position at the front desk of the office can be a challenge to which she has been able to meet without effort. Her skill in telephone answering and attention to detail with her clients has been a real asset to the day to day running of the business. She has naow taken on new challenges with some exposure to International travel work and seeks new challenges on a daily basis. It is a pleasure to work with this remarkable young lady.
